🏈 Built between the hedges. UGA is living off of Bama's coattails again.

5 of the 6 they show most kids never heard of ... would be like us putting up posters of Greg mac. , Jake Coker , John Parker ....

Bit of a reach to me ... like most of these posters there having made up ...

When that is all you have you either have to pull the Cochran stuff or show the real quality of your program. Now making the NFL is a significant accomplishment. What you do there also separates you.

These other programs have a huge mountain to climb to compete with Bama. If I were aligned with another program (thank God I am not) no idea how I would compete with that but at the end of the day that is exactly what these coaches are getting paid to do. Good luck with that.

Post Saban we may be in this same boat. Hope not...

I don't recall exactly how it got started, something about a particular UGA fan bragging on Quincy Carter but we had a long running joke on the old CNN/SI message boards and a few others that followed, after CNN/SI shut down. Basically it was "_________ is a better QB than Quincy." Insert who or whatever into the blank. Example, "ham sammich is a better QB than Quincy". We were doing memes before anyone called them memes.

Stockley he still in the NFL. Not playing, but in the booth for the Atlanta Falcon. Well he does the TV for Atlanta highlights every Thursday night. Stafford still playing for the Loins.

Quantity not quality. Tied for third though.
Damage control, if you will. The "NFL world" has been hearing "Fromm didn't get drafted" for days while also hearing how UGA's transfers, Eason as example, were picked higher. Add Justin Fields and next years Heisman race. Now, look at UGA relying on a transfer from Wake for their QB this season.

Is interesting to me thinking back about how the Bama staff/Saban was criticized for their QB room up until it was Jalen at the helm: some would point at Tua's starting as the time the QB room changed. Now with Bryce there's no doubt the QB role at Bama has changed: Tua changed that.

Now, we're seeing the same thing with Kirby: a QB room in disarray. He's (KS) trying to catch the same magic we saw with Kiffin in the form of Monk.

(IF UGA successfully makes the transition into today's offensive schemes watch as their defense falls below the standards they are used to seeing.)
