Stadium Journey Announces 101 Best Stadium Experiences of 2012

Stadium Journey Magazine released its 2nd annual list of the best stadium experiences of the past year. For the second consecutive year, the Indianapolis Colts and Lucas Oil Stadium were recognized as the best stadium experience.

-Jan. 14, 2013 - ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Stadium Journey utilizes its FANFARE scale for ranking the stadiums on its website and for the purposes of creating this list. The scale takes into account the food & beverage at the stadium, overall atmosphere, the neighborhood in which it resides, the fans, access outside and inside the stadium, return on investment, and allows for room for "bonus points" for unique features.

Reviews are submitted by Stadium Journey's 80+ contributors, and tiebreakers are settled by a stadium's "Crowd Score," (the average of ratings submitted by members).

Stadium Journey Magazine is a monthly publication, available exclusively on the Stadium Journey website -http://www.stadiumjourney.com/<wbr>magazine

6. Verizon Center, Washington Capitals

these two in the top 10 seem to be really odd ! and number 30 isnt even the best soccer stadium experience in this country

Agreed re: the Capitals. I have been to a few Caps games, and they are so-so as a hockey experience. As a Flyers fan I am a bit biased but we are some of the most passionate, amped up fans in the league. Come on down to the Wells Fargo Center for a game sometime! (I miss the Spectrum, our old arena ..) We're also super chill; as long as you aren't wearing yellow and black, or red and blue  From what I've heard, though, the Wild are deserving of their spot in the top 10.

Interesting 42. LOVE going to Ironpig games, it's a great experience if anyone is in that area/enjoys minor league baseball. They're the Phillies triple A team.

Most importantly: ROLL TIDE!!! Love to see us dominate in yet another area!

I know there is a difference between how nice the stadium or a venue is compared to the actual stadium experience of the fan but what stunned me the most was Cowboy Stadium being ranked way down at No.35??
