Haha, well Coach Saban should'a listened to you, I mean it's just ridiculous, a freshman who doesn't play, was not the most highly sought after recruit, obviously just is not good enough yet and HE'S the one that get's caught with weed, grow up, Calloway, you're at Bama now, have some class

When you have to ask "Which one was Calloway?," after a football game, he is not SEC material, imo. Sure, he is good looking athlete, but I have seen many guys that look the part, but they just can't play football like you would expect an SEC-caliber kid to be able to play. SEC starters stand out in a game. Their name is constantly called over the PA. All of the other players look like they are in slow motion, in comparison. For the most part, you know who will make it by the time they are in 8th grade. Of course, there are exceptions, but very few and far between.

Coach should boot his ass off the team. Yea I know, drastic measure. He will not be worth the effort in the "process" in the long term. Coach needs to continue to set the example.

Regardless of the absolute ridiculousness of marijuana laws today, if you're in the situation that Calloway is in you have to be aware of what you're risking by involving yourself with it. Dumb move on his part. Not something worthy of kicking him off the team for though.

My opinion, he'll be punished, given another chance...but he's got an uphill battle getting out of Saban's doghouse.

I have to agree with Porter. I'm glad you guys aren't judge and jury. Let me ask you guys this. How many of you smoked dope at 17, 18 years old? Yes it is a little different because none of us are D1 athletes and have our lives viewed with a magnifying glass inside of a fish bowl. But the only difference between Brent Calloway and me at 19 years old, was the fact that he got caught. I don't like it anymore than the rest of you, but remember this kid has a guardian, and hasn't had a father for several years. Who knows how much right and wrong he knows? I'm willing to reserve judgement. Hopefully he will get his crap together before it is too late.

He shouldn't be kicked off the team for this but I'd bet you my house he will be very well acquainted with Coach Cochrane over the next few weeks. He made a mistake and should be punished but it shouldn't carry a life sentence. This is a teaching moment. Also, an opportunity to ensure he is very well conditioned!
