Last year I had Chris Black and Jon Allen. Complete whiff with one (so much so that he wasn't even going to be offered a scholarship this year) and pretty solid with the other.

This year. D. Hand and Robert Foster.

Depending on how many snaps he gets, Anfernee Jennings would be my guy.

Ronnie Harrison is going to make a ton of plays, hoping he can minimize the mental misktaes.

D'Shawn Hand is going to be special. He will mirror Jon Allen on the other defensive end.

Lastly - Long Shot - BJ Emmonds. Depends on how much Bo gets hurt

Pretty sure I won the sacks competition last year, but never received my trophy.

Anyways...

Offense: Robert Foster if he can stay healthy. Backup: BJ Emmons
Defense: Da'Shawn Hand Backup: Marlon Humphrey. Already a name, but will pull All-American type numbers this year.

BJ Emmons

Terrell Hall, Shyheim Carter

Guys like Hand, Foster, Evans, Harrison already broke out IMO. They were starters or sub package specialists who without them there would've been no national title.

"Breakout" is obviously a non-quantitative term. You have your definition (which is fine) but mine is more along the lines of a name that goes from a role player (or unknown) to national recognition. Sure, Hand, Foster, Evans, and Harrison were great role players for the 2015 team and they certainty played a valuable role in the NC Game.

Think about last year, going into the '15 season. All of us on this board knew who Tim Williams was and knew what he was capable of doing. But he went from an Alabama known, to a national known during the season, thereby "breaking out" so to speak. I doubt anyone on here would have said TW's breakout season was 2014 when he played a role and flashed his potential. This is where I see the players you list right now, they are Tim Williams between the '14 and '15 season.

But like I said, opinions vary and that's what makes discussion interesting and fun. Cheers!

Definitely to each their own, and as long as everyone gives their parameters, every prediction is valid.

For mine I went with guys who've never contributed meaningfully. In retrospect, I probably should've chosen Christian Miller and Anthony Averett in those picks as they'll likely play ahead of Hall and Carter in the same roles on defense.

Mine is a real long shot Xavian Marks, got a friend from Texas where they played at George Ranch High School say these brothers are electric, I hope Xavian gets a chance to return some kicks/punts I was told he could be Prothro like
