I've been a football prognosticator for a while now and been pretty good at it, at times with a higher percentage of wins to losses than anyone in the media. I was asked in a sports radio show I was a guest of why I was so sure that the Texas A&M game wouldn't be one I was worried about.

Sometimes it's just simple logic, statistics or overwhelming evidence.

Sometimes you have superstitious reasons that just make no other sense than "Just Because"...

But mostly, you go with the feeling in your gut, molding all the intangibles together that just give you that old feeling you know is right...

This contest, at this point in the season, gives me a little of all three and I point them all out here...

I do fully agree with our offense dictating the game, they dont have the defense to stop us and I dont think their offense sees the field much, worse case scenario what we could do is score so fast on them they get more possessions on offense which gives them more opportunities to score, but I beleive our defense will have vengeance on its mind

Hey, I live my life with Crimson glasses on, but we were lucky the last two years to get back in the national championship hunt with all the undefeated teams out there after we lost. I still believe that both years we WERE the best team at the end of the year though.... This is the first year in the last three that I have this much certainty that they are not going to lose focus. I hope I'm right and you are too!

As for our offense, I don't anybody will have a clue on how to stop it short of our old pal John Chavis, defensive coordinator at LSU....

Saban is always worried about his players becoming complacent and losing that edge. Despite winning a third national championship in four years, Alabama still has something to point to: the loss to Texas A&M. Although it didn't cost Alabama the SEC or national titles, it put Johnny Manziel on the national scene and has been an immense point of pride for Aggies. On Tuesday, a photo has been making the rounds online of the Alabama locker room, and there are plenty of reminders in there. All the televisions are showing A&M's Cotton Bowl win over Oklahoma, and the Aggie logo is above the weight stations. I should note it's unclear at the moment where this photo came from. A lot of coaches do stuff like this to help motivate players, but most coaches aren't coming off three national championships. Saban will do whatever he can to keep that focus. Although Paul Finebaum thinks the game will be a blowout, the rematch on Sept. 14 is going to be wild.
