Probably because he is a freshman. Have not looked at the list yet so I am not sure who all is on the list.

It's been awarded 45 times, three of those to freshman. The latest was Zion three years ago, maybe four? Anthony Davis, UK, won it as a frosh.

I'll be glad when something else breaks and this whole ordeal isn't THE story in sports anymore. I hate that it happened and it's tragic beyond words. But there is no turning the clock back. There is nothing anybody can do about it now. Making it the top story in all of sports for years to come isn't going to do anyone any good

He is officially identified as a witness. Is that grounds for being punished? Now I know there is more to it but he is identified as a witness formally.
I don't care. I offered a likely reason as to why he was left off the list. Nothing more.
Yet you gave a thumbs down when it was announced he had been added to the list.

Sure he should have.
Just because we are all part time prosecutors and believe that we know best and are so quick to toss in our two cents to how a person should be charged or punished before we know all the facts is the reason we have a justice system and not mob rule.
So he should have been playing unless charged or being investigated for something other than being a witness.
