I alway said that was the reason that FSU didn't join in 1992. I don't really care about what he said about Winston.

Bowden suggested it would have been too difficult for Florida State to win a national championship in the SEC when compared to the ACC.

My dad (Georgia fan) has always said the same thing. He raised me on that same thought. Said they were never built to fight for eight games a year, but play maybe one contender to get up for and find their way into the discussion.
