Making a case for Bosie State. Woohoo, they return almost everyone....I love the way the author says that they will comand respect if they go on the road and beat VT, Oregan St, TULEDO, and WYOMING. Really? Tuledo and Wyoming? Wow.

Im ok with Bosie starting so high, so we can beat them in the BCS championship next year and end this debate. I really wish Iowa and GT would have played Bosie and TCU. I think that it might be a different story.

Thoughts?

VT comes back with a lot of talent. I might be wrong (which would be a first ;^D ) but I don't think they make it bast VT or OSU. One of those two will get Boise next year. It is different when you have the bulls eye on your back. That is what will make it so hard for us to repeat next year.

The whole Boise State argument is the biggest farse in college football. Well, check that. Next to Notre Dame's BCS agreement, it's the biggest farse in college football.

Look, I don't dislike Boise State. Actually I am starting to dislike them a little, but for the most part, I have always rooted for them. Ever since they toppled OU in that bowl game I've always kinda had a soft spot for the giant killers. So I don't have a problem with BSU being in the NCG ...... in itself. If Boise wins all their games and are ranked high enough they should get the same consideration as anyone else.

BUT.....

Here's the thing. On paper, black and white, in a perfect world, Boise should play in the NCG under the stipulations I just mentioned. But college football isn't perfect, and here's the problem with Boise, and what keeps them out of it as far as I'm concerned.

Man up. Play someone. Join a better conference, or whatever it is you have to do. But with the current situation being as it is, there is no way on Earth, Boise State should play in the NCG. They play NO ONE, with the exception of Oregon. That's the same reason Notre Dame has no business in the BCS NCG. They play no one. Look, 50 or 60 years ago Navy might have been a nice little college program. There might have been some prestige in that name. Ninety or 100 years ago the Ivy League schools were considered the shiznit. Okay. :lance: Things change.

BSU is a good enough program that they can step up on any given night and beat anyone once or twice a year. Maybe they can do it on a consistant basis, but we don't know because they don't play anyone. When you have all off-season to game plan for that one big regular season game you should win it. Then you stock the rest of your schedule with teams like San Jose State or LaTech? And that's supposed to impress people? I mean, Nevada was arguably the best team on the schedule outside of Oregon and the Wolfpack got the living he** kicked outta them by a mediocre, no defense-having, Notre Dame team.

I'm not saying Boise has to join the toughest conference in the country to get some recognition, but come on. They have to do something more than what they're doing now IMHO.

Pretty much sums it up right there. Instead of scheduling more lame duck out of conference games (like their in-conference games) schedule more Pac 10, SEC, Big XII, etc. opponents. Anyone remember the last time Boise decided to play an SEC school? Didn't Georgia whip them up and down the field?

To be fair, I would probbably bet not to many big name teams would want to schedule Boise in a regular season because of the chance at getting beat. The best way Boise can gain respect is to get in a better conference. Period. (As chop said)

I think if they played Bama this year in the NCG they would of been waxed. No way they would of been successful against our D.
