He was attempting to make his team relevant when he made those comments. Oklahoma has been an afterthought for a few years now and after a pourous effort in BCS Bowls he decided to stir the pot. He may truly believe this stuff he spoke of, and he'd be pretty idiotic if he did, but here's to hoping he doesn't believe it.
