Color me underwhelmed if so. Not so much with Loffler per se, but in the other part.
Seems we have two members of the old staff gone - Middleton (in my opinion the greater loss of the two departures) and Applewhite.BamaDelta said:I don't know. There is also the buzz that Hatcher is interviewing today. Would Loeffler be brought in as a QB and Hatcher as OC? Do we have room for two??
Well, I guess 'they' could. But since the only 'they' that has any input into the decision - Saban, doesn't seem to want to do that it will most likely not happen.Bones82 said:Why the hell can't they bump Pendry down to just O-line?
RollTideRandy said:Joe Pendry is a former NFL OC and O-line coach and a huge asset to this team. I think doing anything to make him angry and cause him to leave would be a huge mistake. People criticize his offenses for being too conservative, but I read an article last year where he defended that. He was OC of the Houston Texans in their very first years as an expansion team and he had a hard time keeping pressure off the QB because of a lack of talent on the offensive line. Houston played very conservative to try and shorten games and give themselves a chance to win late in the game. If you look at his teams in Buffalo you will find he was not really all that conservative when he had talent to work with.
