🏈 Best/favorite college towns

My bad, University Park

Ah, I gotcha (so many different combinations of "college", "university", and various town names lol).

University Park is the name of the main campus, which is located in State College, PA (aka, Happy Valley). It's really confusing. I don't know why. Flip side: College Park is the main campus of the University of Maryland, but there are two towns in that county called University Park and College Park lol. Hence my confusion.

Hey you're in SLO, how's that as a college town? I've heard it's beautiful, a friend of mine did her undergrad at Cal Poly.

lol most people only go to SLO because it is in San Luis. I'll take some pics of it an upload it here, but its a very beautiful campus. Not really much of a college town though.

I applied to a job at Cal Poly so I would definitely love to see what the area looks like! The weather is the main draw for me, especially after this winter up here haha. One of the coldest and snowiest since Philly started keeping records centuries ago ..

Voted the happiest place in Cali lol. A lot of hiking trails, beach really isn't that far away, beautiful downtown scenery, just expensive. Remember meeting a guy that made 2 million dollars a year and ended up moving to West Texas cause he was paying half of his salary in state tax.

I got a 9% raise moving from Cali to Texas back in 2002 if you just look at state tax savings.

I lived in Jersey for a good part of my life, high taxes are nothing new to me sadly hahah. Compared to California though (according to my boyfriend's family who have lived there their whole lives), Jersey gets by far a bigger bang for our buck (education, public works, etc.). But man, we do NOT have In n' Out .. mmmmm.

Got one of those less than a mile from the office in Frisco, TX.

At first, I thought he meant College Park Georgia. That place is so nice, they made a movie about it.

College towns really need to come up with new names. University Park, College Park, State College, College Station .. Meh.

Re: the film, "Three college students drive to the new Bluff, an Atlanta neighborhood, intending to buy some drugs from a dealer. Clearly naive, they joke about flirting in hopes of getting free drugs, and reassure one another that they have nothing to fear." And, of course, we all know they have nothing to fear :icon_lol: Is it a good movie?
