šŸˆ Best Eva....

Two different eras (really Bear coached in two or three eras himself), it just isnt a fair comparison. The parity in college football these days and the ability to use the technology we have to day in recruiting and in preparation, training, practices, etc. isnt even comparable to Bear's day. Then again there weren't as many rules that Bear had to go by (he could sign 100 players to a class if he so chose). Bear also did it at Alabama for nearly four decades, Saban has only been doing it for a little over one decade. Something should be said for longevity but something should also be said for the success Saban has had in such a little time especially in the social media era when everything is so knee jerk in terms of reactions and everything blowing up so quickly (whether it be something going viral, a player doing/saying something dumb, scandals, etc.). Bear was almost mythic in his legend and still to this day relatively mysterious to the public. Saban is that way in terms of his privacy and not letting people into his personal life and I think when he leaves he will be looked at in the same light that Bear is. Its almost unbelievable to think that one school could have two coaches this dominant in it's history.
