šŸ€ Bediako eligibility status update… [Judge ruling announced... No more Bediako at Bama]

As long as we don't have to forfeit any games - and it doesn't affect our seeding - I'm good.

NCAA head guy, Baker, has said they can't and won't take away any wins (not an exact quote, but that was the gist). The original court ruling would prevent them from doing it anyway. Basically, Bama is fine... they just revert back to the pre-Bediako roster addition. Fun while it lasted.

Good. Wish we didn't lose at home to TN in his debut. Inexcusable loss honestly. But picked up two big wins last week and are now 16-7.

Philon, Holloway, and Allen are playing at a very high level right now.

Well not a fan of the overall idea with Bediako. The team was better and had a higher ceiling with him. With that said the dang NCAA just needs an overhaul so they can put a sysem in place that will show a reasonable level of consistency. They just seem to randomly apply rules and have been for years....

While I wasn’t keen on Bediako playing, it was fun while it lasted. My hope is that the NCAA would either implode or go through a renovation period and get their shit corrected. As far as eligibility goes, 5 years to play 4, if you play in any professional league, whether overseas or G league, then you are done!! The international guys included in this as well. How can it be OK for a 22-23 year old international kid to come in as a freshman and that take away from an 18-19 year old HS kid, yet claim someone like Bediako coming in January takes away a spot and it be a problem. Also, kid on BYU played 50+ games in G League last year and there is no issue, kid from Baylor, same draft as Bediako, doesn’t sign, but he plays overseas for 2+ seasons and he is fine and Agee from A&M has a TRO in place for a 7th season from a Texas judge and it’s good. Make this shit black and white and hold firm.

I meant in terms of all of the backlash about him being allowed to play. It’s not surprising to me that the judge ruled against it.
I don't know about that either. I think, deep down, Bama fans have no problems with the ruling on its own merits.

However, I know deep down I have no clue how they might vote and he's an elected official, I believe. His saving grace may be that a lot of Alabama fans are "FOG's."
