šŸˆ Bear Byrant coach of year who will it be

For all of the injuries his team dealt with and overcome to accomplish winning his 6th Natty, he should.
Don’t be shocked if they go politically correct and give it to Scott Frost though.

Why would that be politically correct?

With the run Saban has been on, look at all of the ā€œCoach of the yearā€ awards CNS has won! 2-3 in 11 years! There is BAMA fatigue even in the awards. Granted Frost had a great season, but my saying ā€œpolitically correctā€ means we are giving everybody a participation trophy for doing their job! Hell! Gus was up for SEC coach of the year and he lost 4 games!! WTH?

I'd hope they would look at more than just wins and championships when announcing a Coach of the Year.

Scott is the safe choice, sure, but it's hard to compare his potentially wining the award to getting a "participation trophy".

Will Saban get it this year

He's not nominated.

"Paul Chryst – University of Wisconsin
Clay Helton – University of Southern California
Scott Frost – formerly with the University of Central Florida now with the University of Nebraska
Gus Malzahn – Auburn University
Jeff Monken – Army
Kirby Smart – University of Georgia
Dabo Swinney – Clemson University"

I would vote on Smart, then maybe Frost.

I think you should look at the entire season as well. What things has the team and staff overcome? The sheer longevity of Saban and this run should have him an automatic nomination as a finalist each year!! What Frost did was outstanding but prove you can do it consistently! Saban graduates his kids, they stay out of trouble, the Work he does outside of Football as well should be considered.
