I don't know. To me, the kid is in the locker room at halftime with his team just trying to be a leader.... I thought that was stupid that ESPN filmed and aired that comment. Kind of creepy honestly. JMO
Yea the reporter asked him at half time did he get hurt on the previous hit when he got up slow. His response was gonna take more than that to knock me out. He also commented later after his shoulder was broken that Urban Meyer dodged a bullet tonight.

I definitely agree with you. Reporters should not have access to the locker at half time. Also, it sounds like tOS targeted the dude and did it on purpose. I hate CUM.

It wasn't a reporter that asked. A teammate asked if he was okay after the earlier hit. The ESPN camera was in the locker room and caught the exchange.

While true (ESPN sucks), most intelligent coaches wouldn't allow a camera in the locker room at halftime anyway. Saban catches hell at times for the rules that he has in place (i.e. assistant coaches don't talk to media, true freshmen don't speak with media, those players that do are given "talking points", etc..) but it was certainly limited distractions over the years.
I saw it. I am sure that the other team did NOT hear or see it. They were going after him already beofre half and got 2 good licks on him already. He was trying to rally the team..... then 3 plays into the second half he got speared and drove down hard on his side. immediately i could tell he broke his collar bone. He was done...that was the beginning of the end for them. It was kind of ironic that he said that in the lockroom but there is no way the other team knew or saw.
Pure luck it didn't happen on the double team hit he took in the first half. I don't think OSU targeted him. They were just head hunting in general. VT laid their share of hard licks also
I submit to you there are folks (maybe not here) who believe ESPN piped a live feed into the OSU
Locker room and highlighted the VT QBs comments for the benefit of the Buckeyes.
Conspiracy theories abound in this modern landscape that is CFB
Remember the SEC maintains an office in Birmingham just to simplify the process of depositing Alabama's weekly payoff checks for the officiating crews.
With so many ESPN staffers from OSU it makes sense that is what they actually did to give the edge for their team. They were obviously going to loose the game without help.:sarcasm:
Exactly. I'm pretty sure OSU was getting chewed out by Meyer and making adjustments. You blow a 14 point lead before the half you don't get to go watch TV and eat popcorn in the locker room.

If I recall, this segment was aired near the end of halftime, so most likely OSU was in the process of getting back onto the field.
Still, I highly doubt that anyone is watching TV at the halftime break after that debacle of a 2nd quarter. Everyone has a job- coaches and staff- and I'm pretty sure none of those jobs are to report to the team what Heathers Cox is discussing.
