it seems our women's basketball team is having a MUCH better year than our men's basketball team.
sitting at 11-1, the women's team seems to be on the right track. i have to wonder, though, why they're not in the top 25 with that record when other schools have a worse record and are solidly in the top 25. although, their rpi may not be as high as others.
the men, however, aren't having such a good year. at 5-5, they're anything but getting the job done. granted Coach Curry has had a couple more years to get her program installed and her recruits in place. but i was hoping for a bit more than 5-5 from the men. the best they've been able to put together is a streak of 2 wins in a row (twice).
the women, however, won their first 8, lost the next one, then won their next 4 (currently at that streak).
the men play tonight at 8 pm, while the women have off until 12/28.
hopefully, Coach Johnson and the guys can put together some good wins and finish decently strong and go into next year with a better record to this point.
