Not a huge basketball fan but I do watch Bama play. This team looks so much better than last year's squad. You can tell that they feel they can and maybe should win every game. And they seem to have fun doing it too. Hope they keep it up and instead of talking about a possible NIT invite we might be talking about getting an invite to the main tournament.

Without a doubt this is a tournament team if we have solid outing in the SEC. Which is crazy because we replaced our top 3 scorers aND were picked to finish 13th in the SEC.

God Taylor is terrible at FTs. Why does he intend on shooting the ball as hard as he can?

He so want a to be a SG.

He's 6'10". He shouldn't have to bend his knees till his quads are sub-parallel to the floor to create arc and lift. He needs to create a rhythm...a ritual that he sticks to to settle his nerves enough to focus on the rim.

And this is coming from me, a dude that is 6'8", and I led my HS team in FT%, and was 3rd on the team in college. I was never worse than 80%, and that was in my 8th grade year.

Glad the boys won yesterday! I am looking forward to SEC play, hopefully, we can steal a few games and get an invite to the dance but with the lack of depth, that is a reach IMO. CAJ, has put together an impressive group of players coming in next year and I expect that flow will continue.

I heard on the news last week that one of the ESPN talking heads/tournament gurus already had us as an 8-seed. Of course, when that kind of prediction comes out in early December, that's like hearing some barner fans crowing about Jeremy Johnson. But it's nice to hear that the experts are thinking that highly of us.

Well we have already beaten 2 teams this year that are head and shoulders (imo) better than most sec teams in Wichita St and ND although WS was without 2 key players. We should do fairly well in SEC play if Hale and Retin both play like they are capable of and we avoid any more injuries. I can totally see this team overachieving and making the tourney. Even if something happens and we dont the improvement from last year to this year is completely evident

Way too soon to get serious about tournament projections, but my guess is that 10-8 in league play puts us in the dance, 9-9 and some damage in the conference tourney would as well.

I think it's safe to say we will have to be .500 or better in conference play to get in the dance and looking at our schedule that would be a major accomplishment.

Well, UK just lost to LSU. That makes Saturday's matchup just fucking great. As if UK needed any more motivation to win, they're going to be out to prove something.
