It may be window dressing but I like the old lady. I think the students down closer will give it more of an electric feel than it has had in a very long time. Not since the days of Robert Horry and Hollywood Robinson.

Just thinking about this...over the last few years we've had...

New seating and with this one additional seating.
New foyer area.
New "zone type area"
New seating for the students
New scoreboard.
New ribbon boards.
New sound system.
Renovations to the lower gym for a basketball only complex.
New locker rooms under construction.
New meeting rooms.
New rehab area.

What am I missing?

The bathrooms were redone (assuming you were talking public)

I had rather they saved all that money and used it on a downpayment for a new crib completely

I can see that view.

BUT, when all of this was started (with the exception of a few items) the main reason I was against it was the coach in charge. I thought that would be a horribly wasted investment to create a palace for nothing more than a court jester.

In say a decade, when we are looking at everything in BDS paid, I'd be fully behind that type of a move. Especially if Wendall is successful and he can bring in a crowd large enough for Coleman. Of course, that's assuming Grant is also the coach I think he's going to be.

Right now, if I were Coach Moore, the checkbook would have "The Joe" on the memo line. BUT, some of that feeling comes from having faith in Gaspard...and, I'd probably be fully supportive of the move even if he wasn't coaching the baseball program.

I've not been through the track facility in AGES. What the condition over there these days...

I think it was '99 or '00 when I was at the track facility the last time. Poor shape.

I knew the cross country team was out there...and, considering I've walked it several times as a student I know that can be rough.

Baseball crib...this tells my feelings..."paved paradise and put in a parking lot," eh? (paradise is a bit of a stretch...but I do love outside the right field fence)
