🏀 GAME THREAD 🏀 2025-26 Season Archived Game Threads.

I got curious. There's no ML on the game tonight. Bama is -32.5.

I noticed a parlay on ESPNBet that has the total tonight at Over 168.5 with a few other legs.

What's a little crazy is you can find some BIG money lines tonight. You might look at Vandy playing Lipscomb and see -20,000. Okay, right? But then you look at Bethune-Cookman...who is playing Auburn with that ML at -100,000. Geez.

Has CNO’s reach his peak at Alabama especially with the constant lack of defense? It’s almost like every game the plan is just to try and outscore the other team. The one thing that is consistent with this team is terrible defense.

I mean, TN was efficient and did whatever they wanted on offense. It's just piss poor coaching at this point. Brian Adams is arguably one of the worst defensive coaches in the country. Oats wants a good D but he does not understand it.

Give straight losses to TN for Oats. It's all on him. He preaches so much about toughness and focusing on defense, yet it's all talk. His two seasons where he had an elite D is an outlier.

Also, the last true elite win Alabama at home was against auburn two seasons ago. Losses to TN (twice), Florida (twice), auburn (last year), Purdue, and a defacto home blow out loss to Arizona.

Just not a good look honestly. The team plays hard but they're soft as fuck.

I'll say it again, I don't know that this team is a top 25 team. Can things change? Maybe, with Bediako things are moving in the right direction at least in the paint and on defense with a rim protector but we GOTTA find some people to get open and hit 3s. We gotta learn how to create and float to open space. We are constantly standing still and letting them guard us up. If a team plays physical with the ball action and just drops coverage in the middle we can't seem to figure it out. Every team has done this, the difference is if we are hitting our shots it changes the aspect. Guys have to go further out on the perimeter...we need consistent players and consistent scorers.

I mean, TN has absolutely fucking sucked on offense this season. They got beat by UK at home, roasted against Florida,

They are lost half the time.

We do a ton of watching and not moving.

I have always thought our fans are terrible basketball fans. All the blue hairs in the good seats sit there trying to show off their quarterzips and loafers rather than cheering on their team and being a difference maker. One of the worst home court advantages I have seen.
Our fans used to get into games way more than they ever did football. Coleman under Wimp, a good bit under Gottfried (Mark's Madness), and under Grant and Avery their first few years was electric.

The fans who go nowadays are terrible. They sit all game, rarely get loud, and won't even do any chants. The student seating is awful too. I miss when there behind the baskets. But it's just insane how much better every other place gets it when it comes to producing a good atmosphere, yet our athletic department is oblivious to how bad it is.

The absolute worst thing is when we have fans who are invested and are trying to make noise, yet are told to sit down by other boring ass people. I got told that in Huntsville this season against Kennesaw State. My friend group who goes to the games have complained about that happening to them way more frequently this year than ever before.

If it doesn't pertain to clapping or doing some stupid Cha-Cha slide, our fans aren't interested. It's the same bland atmosphere that affects football and baseball too.

I hate to lose especially to UT, but trying to look at the bright side if Bediako is allowed to play he will help us big-time he is agile and has quick feet he moves much better than Sherrell and give us much better rim protection. Now if we can just get healthy.

Fans don't defend or shoot. Nate and staff get the credit for the good and they need to own the not so good. Looks like Bama missed this cycle on some of those portal additions. A one-year setback isn't the end of the success. Maybe they can improve and make a run into March.

Oats highlighting that every team has had one of their guys have a career night vs us. It has been that way ever since Adams got hired. Telling you, Oats needs to keep the NBA mentality on just offense. Fire Adams after the season and go out and get an elite defensive coach that works strictly in college basketball only.

I'm not saying they play a role in W/L at home. Just an observation when you go to the games, our fans that go to games now do absolutely nothing to create a decent home-court advantage. In fact, we claim to be a football school first, and we can hardly create a good atmosphere at BDS.

I agree on the misevaluations in the portal. Bristow looked the part early on, but he has zero offensive game. Also he's constantly injured. Bol Bowen has been called out multiple times for lack of effort. Bethea is not polished enough as a guard. The recruiting class was a perfect hit. Jemison is a Herb clone; Allen is playing like a one-and-done; Hannah looked to be on his way to be an incredible player before his injury.

Frustrating- sometimes they act like they have never played defense in their life by not boxing out and not stopping the ball on a drive.
Frustrating- watching one guard in particular dribble endlessly, shot selection at times.
Frustrating- situational basketball.

I know I am old school on many things but man it is just hard to watch sometimes.
