🏀 GAME THREAD 🏀 2025-26 Season Archived Game Threads.

I got curious. There's no ML on the game tonight. Bama is -32.5.

I noticed a parlay on ESPNBet that has the total tonight at Over 168.5 with a few other legs.

What's a little crazy is you can find some BIG money lines tonight. You might look at Vandy playing Lipscomb and see -20,000. Okay, right? But then you look at Bethune-Cookman...who is playing Auburn with that ML at -100,000. Geez.

There are two things that REALLY bother me about this team: 1. Our lack of defense, totally frustrating to see. 2. Our situational shot selection blows my mind. Yes, we live and die by the three, dribble penetration and a fast tempo but my goodness, why do we shoot some of the shots we do? Hopefully, CNO can get some things fixed very soon.

Shot selection kills me!!! I can see defense lapsing at times simply because of the roster we have that is at least 70% healthy and available. Get caught in a switch and a bad mismatch. I do wonder more so about substitution patterns though. Those leave me scratching my head a lot. Need to break out the boxes of Deer Antler Spray that we have had in storage and get our roster healthy.

Something seemed off even in the win over Kentucky. Change a few things here or there, and Kentucky comes back and wins that game..1-2 in the SEC could easily be 0-3. If something doesn't change soon, we could be looking Hobbs era bad, like circa 1997-1998 BAD

I can almost guarantee with 100% certainty that won't be the case. We've looked bad like this before under Oats (at UGA in Oats' third year) and he's fixed it.

Not much Oats is going to be able to do with the down low players we have. A good game against a team that has decent big men is to break even on the boards.

When teams can guard philon we will struggle somewhat on the offensive end. I say that and we still alomst scored 88 so in the end the issue is not scoring.

Legitimate question here, does CNO need to scale back his practice or take a day off here and there? Our tempo that we play at requires a lot of running in practice even in the drills that are being run and that takes a toll on the lower body. It seems every year, we have guys that miss significant time with various leg injuries. Just thinking out loud on my part.

Hate to hear that on Hannah, hope they get him straight.

I don’t think having Wrightsell out is a bad thing at this point. He needs to get 100% and get his game back. Been a struggle this year.
I'm just kind of waiting for that one game where Wrightsell to gets his shot back and starts to become a better role player. I sort of hoped Oats would do what he did with previous players and have them come off the bench. Sometimes provides a much needed spark. You can still get starter minutes too.

Besides his jump shot being off, Wrightsell's shot selection has been questionable at best. He doesn't drive well, so it's really erratic when he has the ball.

Really wish Oats would wake up and play Bethea more.
