🏀 GAME THREAD 🏀 2025-26 Season Archived Game Threads.

I got curious. There's no ML on the game tonight. Bama is -32.5.

I noticed a parlay on ESPNBet that has the total tonight at Over 168.5 with a few other legs.

What's a little crazy is you can find some BIG money lines tonight. You might look at Vandy playing Lipscomb and see -20,000. Okay, right? But then you look at Bethune-Cookman...who is playing Auburn with that ML at -100,000. Geez.

Passink said, and I’ve seen others echo, this may be Gonzaga’s best “team” ever. Maybe not the most talented, but the best team. And Passink said that before Bama ever got to Vegas. He’s a voice I’d trust on it.

Just me, but I thought considering Bama was without Wrightsell (not to mention Bethea), things went about as expected against them.

Best teams I’ve seen so far… no real particular order… Purdue, Gonzaga, Michigan, and Arizona. But its a small sample size and just my take on it.
Arizona and Purdue are 1A and 1B to me. I think this Alabama team with its guard depth absolutely can and should make a deep run in the tournament. This team will grow from these early challenges, but the frontcourt limitations will still be a big obstacle to overcome against more physical teams (Florida and TN). But still a big chance to make the Final Four if Philon, Holloway, and Wrightsell all play at a high level, similar to how Sears, Estrada, and Griffin did two years ago.

I think it's a good sign Alabama had the lead and/or was tied with Gonzaga and Purdue despite being dominated on the glass. But unfortunately, Oats' teams have had a tendency to really fall a part late and let the game get out of hand. The Duke game last season was kind of a prime example of Alabama not playing particularly well but still playing within reach until a four minute lapse that blew it open. Same thing against Gonzaga, where poor shot selection and back to back defensive break downs that led to them putting it out of reach. Learning experience though.

Man, Gonzaga can't hit water from a boat in the ocean they are shooting HORRIBLE tonight on the flip side Michigan has been shooting lights out this entire tournament....not a good time to be peaking though this early in a season likely to burn out and fall flat later.

Was going to say, it'll be interesting to see if they can keep it hot in March/April...

@Brandon Van de Graaff - what happened to Bristow?

No idea. Just a guess, but he's (mostly) fine and they are just resting him. 3 games in 3 days... holding Wrightsell out who was hurt there last year (and still working his way back), and holding Bristow (who has been limited this season already) out of a meaningless game 3 makes sense.
