Well, nice win. Very nice. Bama goes on the road to basically beat the Serbian and Croatian college all-star team... almost out rebounded them even.



But good Lord.... Imagine sitting around that Illinois team room with that group. One guy's probably eating a pigeon on a stick and laughing out loud at an episode of Blue's Clues. Some dude in the corner playing an accordian naked but wearing size 22 flip flops. Another dude signing some annoying song while whittling chess pieces out of hard cheeses. Then you've got Underwood. Looks like a guy that calls in bomb threats to orphanages for a hobby.

Great win. Beat 2 out of 3 top 10 programs in a 2 week span. Only Arizona has done better and they're coming up Dec. 13th. Give Illinois credit, they' ve definitely tapped into the European pipeline.

Something you may have missed when you were watching last night.

It's rare, really rare, to have a ball game that's so close in the second half and you aren't seeing lead changes. Well, we saw one with the first basket of the second half when Bama took the lead.

There were no runs, no lapses to speak of. It was just two teams playing solid ball for the last 20 minutes.

I know it's our DNA but we had a 9-point lead and in control of the game and had three or four possessions in a row we just sprinted down the court and jacked up a three from three ft outside the NBA line. I would like to see them get a little better look and make a defense that was on its heels and getting into serious foul trouble work a little harder.
