Nope. But they sure are fun to watch.

I think the inside rebounding is the difference in a very good season and a great one. By great I think if they had more inside players they could be championship contendes. Heck maybe they can still get hot and find a way but some of these elite teams just have to much for Bama to handle inside. if I am being honest it isn't just bama that struggles with teams like Az and Florida. But Bama is so close if they had that one elite inside guy. Sherrell is good and is getting better but just need another one or two to help match up against those elite inside teams.

I stand by my statement that we are a better offensive team when Holloway runs the point and Philon plays the #2 spot. When LP runs the point, there is less ball movement and a lot of guys standing around watching him dribble. No where did I say we are a better team without him in the lineup.

Thankful to come out of Knoxville with a win. That arena is a tough place to play. Nice job men!

I don't think Sherrell was recruited as a 5, but he sure is stepping up. I appreciate his effort.... wasn't too sure about him the first few games of the season.

Athens is weirdly a tough place to play. Alabama is 35-31 there, but nearly every game has gone down to the wire.

Every win has had to have Alabama comeback and have some late-game heroics to put it away.

Yep. I tend to follow things like the byes and seeding for the SECT. There might be a thread...

One more win locks in the two seed for the Tide. If I'm not mistaken, a W or L against TX doesn't change UArk at #3. They would have to lose their next two games to lose their WEDS and TH bye.

The way I see this breaking down we're looking at Bama having UT, Vandy, and UArk in their side of the bracket. It'll be a tough tourney to win out. My gut tells me we are looking at a UT vs UF game (depending on Ament: I believe he's being held out for their next game.)

It was more of a point of where the weaknesses of the team came into play. But, yes, that would go a LONG way to a road win.

I haven't mentioned it the last two or three times I've pointed to these numbers; context is important.

The numbers/graphic I embedded are/is from Bart Torvik. I haven't looked at all his numbers though I know what KenPom is showing right now. When it comes to offensive efficiency, half of the teams Alabama has played this season are in the top 50. If you take the top 20-25 in offensive efficiency you'll also see Bama has played half of them. (A week ago this was nine of the top 22. With the UT win, 10 of the top 22.)

What all of that say? While people are complaining about the defense how many of them have looked at the offenses faced?

As far as tonight? I've been pointing to this for a few weeks now: UGA's kill shots / runs. They are among the best in the nation.

(FWIW, it opened at 2.5 and it's now UA -1.5.)

I hate to bet against Bama but I got $100 on Georgia tonight. I feel like tank is low and I don’t like playing there. I deserve to part with my money just for betting against us, but honestly this feels inevitable
