But, if your team needs their ears chewed on Too many times, it could mean some of them may be resentful of the way of being coached already or not very coachable to begin with.

Exactly! I did it maybe 1-2 times a year and that was all. Did it at halftime of a basketball game and we outscored the opponent 46-6 in the 2nd half after trailing by 4 at the break.
There were times, that I calmly expressed my disappointment and then turned and walked away, never raising my voice. You have to learn how to read your players and how can you coach them.
Last HC I worked for was said in a meeting, “someone else needs to be the bad guy on staff because I get tired of doing it everyday!” I calmly replied that maybe he should try a different approach because we, the assistants, were always left to pick up the pieces.

Sherrill is playing well. I just wish he had the stamina to get more minutes because of the way he is playing. I also understand with the tempo we play he cannot do that. Philon's play is to be expected, he is supposed to put the team on his back and carry us in critical moments. Allen is coming along nicely. A big win in Norman.
