Now that I have a minute... hat's off to Adams on a gutty outing. He worked out of jams more than once, threw strikes, and stayed aggressive, and managed to go 6 innings and give up 0 runs. The bullpen (Heiberger and Crowther) these first 2 games have been back into their groove too, which is huge since the overall depth there in terms of high leverage arms isn't great. But they've saved some guys, including Adams, for game 3, which could be huge. The Bama bats held up their end too... Vandy isn't going to give away much in terms of walks and errors usually, so Bama has to make the most of their AB's and the last 2 days they've done that some. Big thumbs up to Hines and Lemm for hitting HR's both games thus far. Lastly, despite 2 errors today, the defense has been better again so far this series. They've made some big plays this series that they usually haven't made this year.

A series win is big, a sweep would be massive (in terms of Bama's resume). A sweep would also be a good indicator that for the first time under Vaughn, maybe the team is playing some of their best baseball down the stretch... too early to declare that now, but I like what I've seen out of them the last 18 innings vs. Vandy.
