At best you take it or get a piece of it to get a better pitch. With the late movement I do not see that pitch getting hit. It is also why it is so hard to take the pitch. It is nasty for sure.

It's the first week of June and the Rockies just got their first series win of the season... a sweep even... over the Marlins.

Somewhat related note, I wish they'd move the Marlins to Charlotte. Then expand and put teams in Nashville and Salt Lake City.

Just my .02, but what MLB needs is a European soccer league promotion/relegation system. Make it a realistic possibility that the Barons or some other Double A team could gradually earn it's way to the majors while shitty teams like the Rockies and the Marlins get the boot. They'd have to earn their way back.

A 10 - 50 team? Man, I thought my Pirates were god awful.

I wish the league was set up more like the NFL in terms of equal spending but that's just wishful thinking at this point. I can't blame the owners of teams like LA and both NY teams for spending so much... if it's within the rules, so be it. At least they are trying to win. There's some teams that don't spend much, but get a lot of out of their rosters, and I really respect those teams. But teams like Miami... that sit in the cellar both in the standings and spending year after year... I have no use for. I don't blame their fans for not showing up.
