March 7th, 2020. Bama is 14-0 hosting Lipscomb and takes an L. They went on to win the next two games and then the season was canceled.

It was the 10th of March in 2023 when a 14-0 Bama team lost to Columbia.

In '97 Bama reeled off a record of 15-0 before dropping a game against UGA in their opening SEC series.

NOW ...

Bama is 14-0 entering tonight's ball game. 15-0 ties the school record.

Bama wins 10-0 in 7 (run rule). Level of competition aside, Zane Adams looked sharp... easily the best he's thrown so far which is what you want heading into conference play next weekend. He went 6 innings, 5 hits, 0 walks, and 10 K's. Lebron and Hodo each had 3 hits, Lebron had 3 RBI putting his NCAA leading RBI total at 37 on the season. Back at it tomorrow at 4 pm, Quick on the mound...

Another easy win for the Good Guys, 15-1 in 7 innings. Quick went 4+ and worked up to 69 pitches, gave up only a solo HR. Hagan Banks and Beau Bryans relieved him and kept Presbyterian off the board. A couple of younger guys got to see some playing time which was nice. Lebron and Hodo led Bama at the plate going a combined 6 for 8 with 2 HR's, 10 RBI, and 5 runs. Tide goes for the sweep tomorrow at 1.

Bama suffers their 1st loss... 11-8. Just not a sharp day all the way around for Bama... Credit to Presbyterian, who went down 4-0 in the blink of an eye but chipped away and made hay out of every miscue Bama made... and Bama made several, including 2 critical errors (by Lebron and Hodo) that led to 3 unearned runs and a couple of costly walks. On the mound, Heiberger and Myers didn't stop the bleeding like they have done up to this point, and by the time the pen settled down (Ozmer came in and gave Bama a chance), too much damage had been done. At the plate, the bats were good overall, but they left 10 guys on base.

If there's any good news, the "streak" talk is over now. They have their 1st loss, so whatever amount of pressure they were carrying with them over that is now gone. Tuesday night they have a high level OOC game vs. UAB at Regions Park, then it's officially SEC season with a trip to College Station awaiting for the weekend.

Also, not real sure why Vol fans care so much about Bama baseball. Arky fans are known for this too… trolling Bama social media after losses. I don’t get it. Other than an actual series matchup with one of them, I’ve never noticed Bama fans posting stupid memes and taking weak ass shots at their programs. It does make me hate them more than I already do, so maybe that’s their end game. Just seems weird.

TN fans are notorious for being losers. They've done it to LSU and A&M this season too.
