🏈 Barnhart on Bama-LSU

"From 1971 to 2000, a span of 30 seasons, Alabama did not lose at LSU's Tiger Stadium, one of the toughest venues for a visitor in all of college football. In those three decades, the Crimson Tide were 14-0-1 in Baton Rouge, the tie coming in 1985 (14-14). "

While it may be entertaining to read......this stat has ZERO significance on the outcome of Saturdays game.

Nick Saban is actually the only coach to beat Alabama in Baton Rouge since 1971.. If my thinking is correct.

Nah, I guess Miles has beaten Alabama once at home. 2006 was the year. If I remember correctly that was the no pass interference call in the end zone game. I believe it was John Parker to Keith Brown. Huge swing in momentum.

Nah, that would be 2004 in Saban's last year at LSU where the no pass interference call occurred.

Still makes me sick to see that. Refs should have been suspended for that one.

I don't know how I forgot that one... my 2 year old nephew saw the pass interference on that..... " HE PUSHED... THEN BALL" lol

I like the stat, but Barnhart or someone else will throw it out there every year. All of the guys playing in the game this year, were in elementary school when that streak ended. We've had our a$$es handed to us there multiple times since 2000, and at home plenty more than I like to admit. Anyone remember the passing job that Rohan Davey did on us in T-Town, in 2001?

LSU was the better program while Saban was there. Since Saban got to Bama, Bama has been the better program. I bet we beat them Saturday, but it's athlete for athlete the same type of team. It'll be coaching that makes the difference this year.
