@TerryP I saw on another site that Bama is ranked 128 out of 128 in penalties called against opponent. Have you seen that? Is it legit? That is, the team Bama has been playing has been called for fewer penalties than any other team's opponents.

Not begging for a bunch of legwork, but if you know right off hand...

Leading rusher with almost 900 yards , And 700 receiving a leading stat . That tells me we are leaning hard on jalen for everything offensive , which is troublesome and I hope that this bowl prep ( not including Florida) Saban will be able to work his magic and get this team ready to perform at a high level on offense because we will haft to score at least once in the playoffs against osu or Clemson .

You're also leaving out the fact that two other backs have combined for nearly 1,000 yards, another receiver has nearly 700 yards and another over 400. I think the ball has been distributed pretty evenly all things considered.

A 1,200 yard drop from Henry , to the next starter following year . BAMA has always played two back so that's not the point . I know 2,000 is rare I'm just saying . I would guess BAMA starters averaged three to four hundred more yards before the change in QB style . I'm just saying ," high risk high reward " , I guess.

Uhhh what? Alabama's #2 and #3 running back are 1,200 off from Derrick's numbers? So? In 2015 Alabama rushed for 2,999 yards on the season... in 15 games... in 2016 Alabama has rushed for 2,980 yards... in 12 games... and is averaging almost a full yard more per carry... 33 rushing TDs in 15 games in 2015 and 25 rushing TDs in 12 games in 2016...

Where is that huge drop off you're talking about? Just because there isn't one dominant back that is getting 2,000 yards doesn't mean there has been a drop off in production...

I'm saying he sometimes runs on called pass plays , when receivers are open often times , and he also runs on run pass option play calls sometimes and also runs on called QB run plays . I'm not say the production is any less just that there has been a lot of yards taken from other players and placed on the QB .

Thats actually what happens with a dual threat qb. plus the fact that hes still 18 yrs old and not at the elite level of reading progressions yet. even at this point of the season hes still learning on the fly. Last game that smash route he threw to Stewart was absolutely beautiful and he could have gave up on it quick and turned up and ran. Hes starting to read his progressions better. I know most Bama fans are used to the JPW / McCarron / McElroy type qb but ur gonna have to get used to a qb being the 2nd leading rusher with Jalen and Tua coming in. Not all called pass plays are gonna end in a pass no matter who is open. And RPO's are just that....Run or pass. Its a new system most bama fans arent used too. but its working as intended

Okay but I dont understand the point? You've said "too much is put on Jalen" and now that Jalen is running on pass places "when receivers are open often times" (which isn't remotely true)... If you did it by percentages probably 20% of Jalen's runs are scrambles on a pass play rather than a called run. But regardless as a team we have almost the same total of rushing yards as last season (with 2-3 games remaining) and almost identical passing numbers at the same point in the season last year. You're whole premise was that the starting tailback has 1,200 less rushing yards than last season so that means the team is "leaning too much on Jalen." I just showed you that if you take out Jalen's numbers completely Bo, Harris and Jacobs have combined for numbers very similar to Henry (other than TDs). Jalen is a dual-threat QB so him putting up big rushing numbers, without getting injured mind you, is a very good thing and certainly not "leaning" on him too much. It's the point of having a dual-threat.
