| FTBL Bama vs. Va. Tech 2009- Ga Dome

I like the neutral site game thing. It lets Alabama have a big time opponent, with gauranteed TV money, a payout that's almost as good as a home game, without losing a home game the next year on a home & home series.

I'm hoping they get one with UTx, TAMU, or someone like that somewhere like the Super Dome in NO before long.

I want Oklahoma, Texas, and Ohio State

That's great! I love the fact that we are scheduling some prime out of conf. opponents.

Don't forget everyone's favorite team to hate--Notre Dame and/or USC!!!

I like it. A while back there were some rumblings about playing Texas in New Orleans or Houston in 2009, but I'll take VT too. Maybe we can meet up with Texas another year... or in a BCS bowl. :)

And Bama vs. Duke there in 2010. Three straight years opening in the Dome. Gets Bama used to playing there every year in the SECCG!

I have to agree, I would like to see some of these games in Tuscaloosa.

These games are all about recruiting in an area wealthy in talent. We still have plenty of games to do that in Tuscaloosa. As long as it remains ATL I'm all for it. :)

FWIW, Duke is scheduled right now to be played on the 18th of Sept. We play a few teams before them...

Atlanta's just fine with me.

Party at Tim's house!!

Unfortunately, I'm not going to be back from the Democratic National Convention ( August 25-28 ) for the game. To lessen my carbon footprint, I'm carpooling with Cindy Sheehan in a soapbox derby car converted to run on solar panels and passenger emitted methane. The "Sun-bean Express" will roll into Atlanta in time for the SECC game.

RTR,

Tim

In the event an agreement cannot be reached with the Crimson Tide, Tech's opponent will likely be another Southeastern Conference team.

Any reason to think this won't get done?
