🏈 Bama vs LSwho

I don't have a "feeling" on this game yet. I just know Leonard Fournette is a freakin' beast. And to add to that they have two guys behind him that would be starting just about anywhere else. They are DEEEEP at RB. Harris is from my neck of the woods. He's got the athletic talent to beat you running or throwing. But, he can be rattled. LSU has several designed running plays for him. The kid can run pretty fast. so our defense will have to be very conscious of him tucking it and running. If we can somehow stop Fournette and make Harris beat us with his arm I think we do all right in this game. If not then we could lose this game by two scores. Fournette is that good.

I am looking for Two tickets to the Bama/LSU game. I have a big client coming in town and he wants to see a real SEC football game. He is from the great north west. Anybody that has some or knows of some please send me a private message about it.

Now we are gonna pick this game apart for the next two weeks. So let's keep it slow and hopefully watch some of those in front of us struggle.

Roll Tide

In the 2011 game, also at night, we had a ton of silly mistakes on offense. Hopefully we have these kinks ironed out by Saturday week. This LSU D, while good, is nowhere near the D that they had then. This is not a 1 versus 2 game, but it is really big.

The thing I like in this lsu game is that they are mostly a one-dimension team. If we shutdown fournette (I know easier said than done), and get a good push on the line (pressuring the QB) I think we keep them in check. If we have a "double" eye on the RB, I think we can cover their receivers well enough. Our Offense is a better passing team than theirs overall, although I do realize our OL doesn't seem to pass block very well.
We all know that Miles will have something tricky to run in the game whether its fake punts, FGs, or whatever, so we must play heads up, and stay as fresh in the DL as possible (which we should be able to do.)

Alabama is fully capable of beating LSWho, but they are also capable of losing to the Bengal Tigers. LSWho is definitely better than Ole Miss, the team that beat the Tide at Bryant Denny Stadium. It all comes down to execution.

It is LSU, this game is almost always a toss up. Both teams are on equal ground with the talent on both sides of the ball. Up until a few weeks ago, I would have said stack up against the run and let them beat us in the air but now I am not so certain. Harris threw the ball fairly well against Florida. I think our defense as a whole is the key to this game. Control the line of scrimmage and play tight coverage. The offense seems to vary week to week for us. I am happy we are not playing this one away even though we are not playing well at home. Those damn Cajuns can conjure up all sorts of voodoo at Death Valley.

To me, it seems that Coach Saban coaches too tightly against Les and that can cause trouble for us. Les always has his guys loose for this game where we seem a bit on edge, but maybe that is just me.

With regards to talent, saw this one yesterday. Speaks volumes.

Honestly, LSU hasn't really played anyone at this point other than Florida (I'm almost laughing out loud when I say that). They've played Miss State, Auburn, and South Carolina from the SEC). Which means they still have Bama, TAMU, Ole Miss, and Arkansas left.

Having said that, look at these numbers based on who they've played.

On paper, it looks like this could be one of those rare games between the elephants and the corn dogs, where there are plenty of point's scored on both sides. We shall see.

If we play like we played against Ole Miss we could loose. We have played better in every other game this year. Defense is getting better and the offense is good when plays are called to our strength. We were a tired team physically and emotionally against the viles but when the game was on the line TEAM did what they needed to do. I was worried about the viles, not so much the corn dogs. I'm more concerned about the Dak attack.

No, it is not just you. Coach Bryant was the same way against ut. Psyched himself out of some wins against them before he took the Bama program to a level where it didn't matter how uptight he got.

I luckily guessed that the Alabama Tennessee game would be close. Call me crazy, but Im going to go ahead and go with my gut and call a 17 point victory over LSU. Our defense will dominate and our offense is going to be lots of quick short passes to our rbs and tes which several are going to turn into long gains. Im also calling for a trick play or two, possibly one being Ridley throwing a pass.
