For those of you, like me, who are still lamenting the SC loss, I found something very interesting. If Bama had won, they would have done something that had only been done once in the 74 year history of the AP Poll.

Since the beginning of the AP Poll in 1936, there have been only 24 teams to play; on three consecutive weeks:

1. A road game against an AP top 15 team.
2. A home game against an AP top 10 team.
3. A road game against an AP top 25 team.

Bama, of course, was the last of the 24 to do so this year. Of the 24, 12 lost all three, one won all three, 4 won 2, 2 went 1-1-1, and 5 went 1-2.

1948 Michigan was the only one of the 24 in 74 years to win all three.

Our SOS will take care of itself this season, as LSU and auburn both await. Plus, now MSU is playing pretty well, and has played a couple decent teams, and is still yet to play Arkansas or us. We need the East to shape itself up. The SC-Florida game will be the play for the SECChampionship, no question now. UGA started off in the hole, and would have to win out, plus, have Florida beat SC. Vandy is out. Uk is theoretically still in. I suppose Uk could get in via the tiebreaker if SC loses to FL and FL loses once more.

Believe me, after the conference title game, if Bama were to win that (a huge IF), our SOS would be MUCH higher than BSU's, especially with Nevada losing at Hawaii.....It's Utah/Michigan State we'd have to worry about then, I guess.

UF is the only one that Bama does not want to see in Atlanta. Bama gets NO bump WHATSOEVER in the BCS rankings for beating them again.

The Sagarin Ratings have our SOS at #46 - still not doing us justice IMHO. Arkansas has slipped as has USC with the losses and Florida is out of the top 30 in the Sagarin computer.

Yes, our SOS really comes into play later on because so far, the teams we have played have come up lame. Who would have guessed that UF would be out of the TOP 25 by now? Who would have guessed that Ole Miss would already have 3 losses, and that two of those losses would be to Vandy and Jax State? I would have thought UT would suck, but we still have them to play.

After we blow through LSU and Auburn, and now resurgant MSU, our SOS ought to be be up in the 20's, and a stifling performance against Cam Newton and Auburn will win over the hearts of some voters too.

Stewart Mandel over at CNN SI is still putting us into the title game against Boise. Love to see that. I actually think that would be one hell of a ball game, and I'm not even sure we would win it.

I dont get that. I had an OU fan I work with rub my face in those two losses in the Fran/ Shula era. I quit the vanpool I rode in due to that guy, he wouldnt let it go. I dont get the "Crimson Alliance" love as much as I dont get the respect some Bama fans have displayed on message boards for UGA for years. I moved to ATL as a kid wearing my Bama shirt to class I was constantly showered with negative comments. As an adult it continued even in work places. I hate UGA. Thats why I pull for GT. lol

To be fair, that guy in your vanpool was merely one of their fans. They have quite a few more & a huge amount of them love Alabama. Exactly how many opposing teams have played our fight song in their own stadium when we were playing them? How many teams played our fight song when they were playing a Ranchione coached aTm (& beat them into the ground 77-0)?

I agree that most OU fans have a healthy respect for Alabama and in most cases, the feelings are mutual. I was just over at Soonerfans the other day and there are always a few haters in every group. For that matter, there are a lot of Alabama fans that act like complete douche bags on this forum and elsewhere too. Some of you who act like our fans (and posters) are beyond reproach are fooling yourselves. Just dial up this link after any adversity, anytime, and see what I mean.

I can't bring myself to pull for OU. Sorry. I know many of the fans on the boards are respectful, but I live in an area where OU fans are quite plentiful and I've met very few that have any respect for Bama. I'd love to meet some of them in person...it might make dealing with the pig fans a little more manageable.

I think i told this story here before....butthe last time we playd OU...after the game i went to a movie.
Sitting on a bench out side the theater before the movie started trying to eat an ice cream cone
& cheer myslef up. I was wearing my everyday Uniform of solid black t-shirt, Levis's and solid white Reebok hightops. (No BAMA GEAR)
So i'm minding my own buisness when out of no where this couple in thier early 60's walks up to me and this old OU battle axe get's right up in my
grill. NOSE TO NOSE screaming GO SOONERS! Alabama is a bunch of redneck loosers. or something to that affect.
I'd not even noticed them till they got right up on me. I never said a word to them. and the fact i wasn't wearing crimson....it blew my mind.
I'll not repeat the explatives i assulted her ears with. I called her everythingin the book. Basicaly becuse she invaded my private ZONE/persoanl air space.
And the smell of denture cream ruined a perfectly good chocolate waffle cone. i mean this hag got so close to my face that if she'd been a man i would have punched her in the face. Repeatedly.

So there. that's why i hate OU ppl and why i wanna kill them (Insert explative here). and hope bama has to have them carried off in body bags.
