Highest finish since 1986, I think. Batson won the 60 in 6.66. Wow!!! Jeremiah Green won the triple jump. What stands out to me is the distance results, which were a bit surprising. Bama got points in the 800, mile, and distance relay. That's pretty good. It's an area where the Tide, if they have other standout events, haven't fared well as of late. You never know at nationals. Batson and Green have a chance. I'm wondering about other events. The Tide won't get distance points at nationals.

Bama entered the final event in third place, needing to finish ahead of Texas A and M to stay there. A and M ran the fastest time in the nation (I believe) and put an end to that.

Excellent effort and job by our team. May not be #1, but atleast we're improving. That's what you want to see from a program that doesn't necessarily have the history of being at the top. Hope our guys can keep it up and show well at Nationals. Roll Tide.

I'd say they're a year away. Top ten this year would be something!
