Last season, Johnson made plays all over the field for Dodge City. He racked up 133 tackles, 8.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, four interceptions and three fumble recoveries.

“They talked about my speed a lot,” Johnson says. “They’ve said they are losing a middle linebacker and a spot will be open. But at the same time, they think I can play in the nickel package and get to sideline to sideline because of my speed.​

He was born in Atlanta, but does have some Alabama ties. He played HS ball at Douglas HS in Dawson, AL.
