I think the report was pretty good!!! I do have this one thing to ask you though!! Based on your report, could we go 6-6 again? I dare not think of that.

I don't see us going 6-6. I could see 7-5 or 8-4. Nine wins or more would be pretty impressive, but I don't see how we could pull it off.

Of course, I'd be happy to be wrong.

I love Alabama fans. I love being an Alabama fan. This is what we are. I know ALL fan bases have fans who are die hard in their optimism but Alabama fans are special.

I see us as a 8 win team at best. ON THE OTHER HAND...... we had a 'bad' record last year and still were in ALL of those games until the bitter end. We are not as bad as our record would indicate.

Wow!! You made me think of something. We weren't as bad as the record would indicate, b/c it could have been worst. We don't come back on Arkansas, hold off Houston, get the call at Ole Miss, & escape Shreveport against Colorado. We could've been 3-10!! Yikes!!! That is a scary thought!

On the other hand we could have won against several of the teams we lost to last season as well.

While the season record was identical to Shula's last season, we did increase our wins in conference play last season which is a point very few tend to point to...

The team in '08 will be different than the team in '07. Part of that is due to attrition, part of it due to understanding what Saban requires.

From conversations I've had with people in and around the program this spring and early summer I'm encouraged by what I'm hearing. Sure, there are some question marks. But, not as many as last year in my view.

The other SEC West teams have gigantic question marks. I think there is a real possibility that we could sneak into the SECCG if we stay away from injuries... then get it handed to us by Georgia. Really, this is an odd season to make predictions.

We could have won and should have won against LSU and MSU. We could have just as easily had 9 wins at the end of the year.
I do not like to guess at records because it is fruitless but I do not see us at 7-5 again. As a player the year before does leave a bad taste in your mouth...I think the young men/and leaders on our team will push us over to the win column in some games this year. I just really hate to stamp a team and tell them they cannot win.........which is what many do by predicting records. The players are out there working, not us....where other fans would call people sensible and a reasonable Alabama fan (what the heck does that mean anyway) for saying we really shouldn't be THAT good is retarded to me. Hopefully the team will look at people saying they cannot win and use that as fuel.Basically I do not know what the record will be but I hope the Tide is confident physical,and relentless and uses intelligent play. The rest will fall into place.
