🏈 Bama fans bored with the winning? Really?

Sidetrack, again. Clowney couldn't hold his jock strap when it came to changing a game.
Cornelius Bennett sends his regards...

I'd take DT or Biscuit over Clowney anyday.

Now back to the subject of the thread. I was only 7 in 1980 so I really don't remember. My earliest memory of Bama football was Bama losing to Penn State with the throw to the back of the end zone that was ruled out even though it was clearly in. My next real memory was Bear's funeral. So I "grew up" during the Perkins and Curry era. The Stallings era was great for a while. Then came the dark years. After suffering through Dubose, Fran, Price and Shula, I can honestly say I will NEVER grow bored of winning. During the LSU game last year, my kids and I were freaking out, yelling, jumping, screaming. We were sick for days after the aTm game. After Oregon and Kstate lost my son came running to give me the news and we celebrated like Bama had won a game. I won't even begin to describe the pandemonium at my house during the UGA game.

Winning is addictive, and I'm hooked. I really think this is something that Saban has brought to the program that has infected the Bama nation. We are never satisfied. Elated to win but never content. Loses now hurt more than during the "dark years" because we lost so often during that time.

Guy that wrote the article was on Finebaum today. His point was more so that students are getting bored with it, but at the same time admitted that student attendance across the country which kinda destroyed his entire argument (other than the fact that he only talked to one damn student to get that impression to begin with). Finebaum never questioned him on that either.

One interesting thing he said was that Alabama had 30,000 on the waiting list for season tickets, the next closest was Texas A&M who had about 15,000 but their stadium is being added on to. LSU has about 1,500 on the waiting list and MSU has less than 500. No other SEC school at all has a waiting list and not one single team in the Little 10 has a waiting list for season tickets.

Not even Nebraska? Color me surprised if that is the case.

Mark and Brian...Were they ever!! "Huff, the Anchorwoman" PRICELESS!

A kid complaining about waking up early to go to what would be a blowout game isn't bored; he's selfish. Too much MEEEEEEEEEEE in that kid.

"Buying a Stairway in Hoover" was another good one, but I still remember the Huff lyrics. Huff the Anchorwoman, she sure gets lots of lovin', 'cause every time you turn around, she's got one in the oven!
