At least we were only down by 3 at the half. Kept it close on their home turf.

3. Alabama, 11-5 (conference), 19-10 (overall)

Ole Miss and Mizzou remain close behind.

I was hoping my skepticism would be proven wrong, especially with ten minutes remaining, and with a win Bama could have somehow gotten into the tourney. This may not doom them, but a win probably would have gotten them in. I think the tourney is highly doubtful. Eh well.

I hate to say it, but that was also some of the most one-sided officiating I've seen in a long time. Florida could do no wrong. Not saying that we would have still won, but balanced officiating would have been nice.

I agree, still trying to figure out the one where they blew the whistle when releford made the basket and was going to be a 3 point play and when they came back they said no foul, why the whistle then? I thought Bama played hard for most of the game but these 7 minute droughts without scoring is awful

I didn't want to say it, but the officiating was one sided. I still don't think Bama wins, but I'd like to see how it would have played. At one point, I think the Tide had eight fouls and Florida still had zero.

They blew that whistle on the releford play i think because they were gonna call goaltending on the florida player since the ball had hit the backboard already. If u notice tho as soon as bama was up by 8 the whistle started blowing if a bama player was within 2 ft of the guy. That last charge called on Rodney Cooper was just a blatant and horrendous call. But what can u expect? They were playing in florida and florida hasnt lost at home all season. The refs made sure they didnt lose today

FWIW the first foul on Florida in the first half was with 7 minutes remaining. They were already in the bounus. Just sayin'.

Officiating has been horrible all season in the SEC, but it's been constistant towards both teams. Saturday was the first time I've seen a game where it looked like some home cooking was going on. I'm not going to say Bama would have won if it had been more balanced, but the one sided calls pretty much made sure they wouldn't win.

Officiating was bad, still no excuse for a basketball team to go on 4-7 minute droughts. Grant still has never beaten UF.

There's also no use complaining about road officiating in the SEC. The officiating is just terribly biased towards the home team. Remember when we beat UK this year? WHy do you think it's so hard to win on the road? You think it's the tough venues? LMAO. Why is Bama undefeated at home this year in SEC play? Check out Arky's home/road record.

Grant will be given AT LEAST one more year. We will have to watch this offense AT LEAST one more year. The team has played like this for four years. I see no reason to believe anything will change next year.
