One of the things I've found interestingāall it worth following in my eyesāare the offers this staff extends to players in the JUCO ranks.
For one, I see it as a sign of an area they feel there is a significant needāa place they see a need for immediate help.
We've seen it on the offensive line before; most notably with James Carpenter.
I, for one, felt the chances were pretty high that we'd see Leon Brown in our starting lineup for the fall. At the least, which it now appears to be, seeing significant playing time along the line.
Dominick Jackson, JUCO lineman out of California, reports an offer from the Alabama staff. Commitable offer? I don't know, but it seems very unlikely we'd be offering a JUCO guy without it being so. It's not like he'll be showing up for summer camps for offensive and defensive lineman for further evaluation.
