🏈 Bama/Aub basketball game radio broadcast?

We let one get away and it's going to hurt. We had the best FT shooter in the SEC on the line to put the game away and he missed the front end of a 1 and 1. Missed FT get you bet every time. Man I'm pi$$ed right now. Auburn is terrible and we just lost to them. Good guys lose 57-58.

Grant isn't the answer

The team played with no heart, no focus, no consistency. They were lucky to only lose by 1 point. Auburn will beat them by more than 1 when they come to Tuscaloosa in March. Grant is highly overrated as a coach. The Grant hire was basically putting a band aid on the gun shot wound. Mark Gottfried of course, being the gun shot wound.

Your last post you bashed our players and praised Coach Grant, now you're bashing Coach Grant. What's your deal?

I had a change of heart. Sorry to step on the toes of the "blindly loyal", but I just don't like what I'm seeing so far from the Grant era. Don't get me wrong, he did fine at VCU, but that was VCU. This is a much tougher conference. Let's call it what it is. I mean, Gottfried could be 13-8 right now. Am I wrong?

Geez...I would've hated to see your reaction to Saban during the 07 season...

Give the man more then half a year...

Things were so bad with the football program at that time, I didn't even count 2007. However, it's a bit different with the basketball program. Had auburn just beaten them up and down the court, then yeah, I would just say, we were tottally outmanned and what not. But, to be unable to finish in games against auburn, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and Cornell just shows a lack of leadership, amongst other things. No need to sugar coat it, right?

It is no different with the basketball program. A first year coach is typically going to need time to establish himself. You talk of being unable to finish...and then say it was different in football? That was our very problem in football, the inability to finish and the lack of leadership.

It's simple: IT TAKES TIME TO BUILD A PROGRAM.

:lance: Whatever...Yeah XCMG could be 13-8, but this would be well into his tenure. Coach Grant hasnt even coach half a season yet and you're already throwing him under the bus.

Seeing how it's currently impossible to be one of "those" fans when it comes to the football program, the creature's natural instinct is to shift it's attention to the basketball team and reach for the low hanging fruit.

I don't know what game you were watching. We didn't play well in the last two minutes, but the same team got blown out in Auburn a year ago. We were in position to pick up a road win and couldn't close the deal, but that doesn't mean that grant was a bad hire or that the team wasn't busting a gut, which you seem to be implying. It is kind of like the Vandy game, just change any one of several little things at the end and we win.
