🏈 Backup plan: Alabama reserves playing for the future when they close down lopsided victories

OK, the one thing I feel bad about......We had to leave the hotel at the end of the 3rd Q to get the airplane ready for the flight home. Charter flights are different than regular ones and take much more prep time. Anywho, we listened to the game on the radio, but we really didn't get the player info since it was an Arky station. We knew Alabama was moving, but we didn't know exactly WHO was doing the moving. We found out that Sims scored but not that some guy named Howell was in. Fast fwd to the flight home and we see lots of players with big smiles. I mean some were really big. You had your big name guys that clearly enjoyed the win, but then you had certain guys that were just beaming with pride.

I noticed one in particular that I'll be honest and say I assumed he was a GA. You could tell he was just so excited. The flight home was fast and lots of food to serve in a short amount of time, so I never had time to check on this one guy and see his name or his role. Come to find out as I watched the replay yesterday it was Howell. He was the one so excited! Now I know why and I feel bad that we didn't even know who he was to make a fuss over. I'll try to make up for it on our next flight. Who knows, maybe he'll play a big role again this coming weekend.

OK, let's get this corrected. In fact, I'm tempted to say "shame on your crew" for not thinking ahead...but I'll let that go.

First:
Click the following link.

Second:

Click the Amazon link.

Third:

Enter portable Satellite radio.

Fourth:

Buy subscription.

This will never happen again.

My 1st thought to you was ............ really? Do you know how much stuff I already bring? Keeping up with one more thing, seriously? Then my 2nd thought was for the big games I'm going to have to have something. Satellite radio would probably be perfect. We can still do our work while listening to the game.

BTW, Alabama flies 757's for away games during the season. Delta's 757's (due to modifications) either have ovens for meal services or TV's but not both. A flight with individual TV's has one, maybe two ovens tops (enough for First Class). That's it. So Alabama had the choice of food or entertainment. Guess which one they chose and guess which one the players wish they would have chosen? :headscratch:

As small and easy as they are to carry around I don't think it'll be much of an inconvenience. I'm assuming you can find other uses for it as well.

My first thought for other uses? Your hubbie can listen to the Aubie broadcast and get a sugar coated viewpoint when national TV analyst will be telling the truth.

I'll be honest I don't even remember Ben Howell in 2010 but I will say he looked pretty excited to be back out there and ran with much authority. Granted it was 4th quarter and Arky was beyond toast, but still he played hard no matter what the score was or who was in his way. Everyone else did great too. Love seeing these guys get actual game experience.

I remember Ben Howell playing in 2010 against Georgia State or someone like that...

Good to get the 2's and 3's some playing time. Wondering when will we ever see Blake Sims in the wildcat this year???
