They should be allowed to play....if some dont want to....fine
Split tv $$ among those playing...
Now wont it be interesting if a catastrophe occurs in SEC...ACc...Big 12.....C-USA
.....a death...major breakout....school closing... yicks....

It's funny isn't it? Sort of goes to that "optics" thing we discussed when we were discussing the pay raise of Sark, Golding, and one or two others. It just seems pretty convenient for Warren to fasll right in line and cancel the season for the Big 10 and oh yeah, go watch his son play this fall in the SEC.

Would be hilarious if he didn't get tickets due to decreased seating. I know player's parents get them, but would still be funny.

The schools made the decision...not the athletic departments.

Not according to that article. Just saying

The article really doesn't go into the B1G's decision or how it came about. It's a political piece using fall sports as a backdrop.

The AD's, all of them as reported, wanted to continue on. There are seven new presidents in the B1G and the communication with Warren was little to nil for them (as well as the other seven.)

The best description I've seen is all 14 presidents and all 14 AD's were in silo's, including Warren, with no communication between the groups.

What's strange to me, some of the articles suggest that ONLY Commissioner Warren was there representing the ADs.

That's BS. The people representing the schools are making decisions on athletics, they better talk with their ADs and ensure they are representing their OWN athletic departments.

Warren by all accounts didn't seem to do a very good job in all of this, he's certainly not 100% on the hook for this shitshow.

There still is a lack of transparency in all of this.
