šŸˆ Auburn hires Bryan Harsin as head coach.

Harsin has mentioned how they plan to recruit the west coast to get his type of athlete. Yesterday it was pointed out Auburn has signed four players from the western coast states in their history; two of the four being the Carlson brothers (CO) who were originally from Alabama. Traditionally, their talent has always come from AL and GA and that's a battle their losing this season. Is this the beginning of a small concession, "we can't recruit with those guys any more?"

Well they are a slow bunch but is this anything new? For that matter no one can. It is a losing battle so if you love slamming your head into a wall go for it. It is the Barn so maybe I answered my own question.

If they recruit west coast athletes and change their stripes to more offense style players they will still be Auburn. It just means they will have players that are different not better. If they are better the Pac 12 would be better.

I remember back when the barn played Oregon, they were asking the question where was Auburn and most people thought it was somewhere in Georgia LOL Those west coast kids won't have a clue where they are, and as soon as they can smell it, they'll turn around and go back to the coast LOL

As a CSU fan with a lot of Bobo experience.... He can coach offense. He can put up yards, points, stats... Especially in the passing game.

But when it comes to the details of winning football, I never saw those loose ends tied up. TOs and Penalties plagued his teams.

Good guy though, and did a great job recruiting to Fort Collins. Doesn't appear to move the needle for Auburn eh?

Bo Bo's daddy and I played HS football on the same team. He was a tackle on defense and offense. Later he was a coach in Thomasville GA then in Athens when Mike attended GA. His brother John was a stat coach at BAMA with Perkins and followed him to Tampa. Mike has a family that knows football. FWIW.

In my view Bobo is no different today than he was when he was coaching in Athens. It's confirmed in my mind when I see Friend and Bobo linked (with Will taking a paycut it appears.)

What does that mean? Tell me how this isn't a Mark Richt offensive approach. Or, in other words, how this isn't 2012 attempting to play offense in '21 football?

@TerryP wasn’t the report that Friend was taking a cut to leave UT and go to USCe? Another pay cut from USCe to the Barn?
I kind of have to giggle at the thought of Mason running their defense. As I recall back in ā€˜17, Jalen, Tua, and company eviscerated that defense.

It's As The World Turns meets college football. Too much to keep track of ...
