🏈 Auburn Football under investigation for academic fraud

Getting some extra cash on the side the same as academic fraud? :naught:

This isn't on North Carolina academic fraud size but having someone take exams for a player or players is a no no!!

Well North Carolina avoided major sanctions just like I predicted on another topic, telling TerryP that they were not worried at all about the outcome. Now we know for sure they weren't worried at all.

i've said it before and i'll say it again...

the ncaa is a fucking joke. they have no power whatsoever. and any power they THINK they may have, they have no intention of ever using it for anything other than lining their own pockets.

UNC files three appeals to the COI and you interpret that to mean they weren't worried?

Since we're on the subject of recollection, you might also recall I mentioned they had a case because so many non-students were in the same classes. In that one point they (NCAA) loses.

The first example can be found in the lady I mentioned the other day, Bensel-Meyers.

The first step in lawsuits is filling appeals and motions, so no, I do not see that as caring or worrying. What they did was nothing out of the ordinary or worrysome.

18 plus million dollars later, three appeals, the state government looking at the programs...

Go on thinking this if you like...I'm not voicing opinion on their state of mind here.

$18M? Sure, a lot of money, but a drop in the pan with their endowment. And you know a law firm licks their chops and charges the hell out of these kind of cases (kind of like CW Matthews with the 75 bridge deal in Atlanta), so not a terribly obscene amount looking at years of service. They weren't fretting no matter what you're trying to say. And appeals are standard in law, like candy. I don't want to continue going round and round here, but there is no substantial evidence that they were shaking in their boots here, just standard protocol in a lawsuit.

That right there is evidence you don't know a lot about the UNC case. The endowment? Really?

I guess it goes to show you're not in tune with what is called a simple comparison. The point was that $18M isn't shit to a university of that caliber. Let me compare again for you, how much is Orgeron's buyout? That's to send a guy on his way, so $18M isn't crazy money to spend on lawyers.

Heath Evans wants the job. After you read...just the first few words of this tweet, you'll be able to see that Evans would not only take a pay cut, but also he'll...higher the best coaches as well. Golly gee! The sociology department looks like they'll get a huge increase in funding! Probably all those other non-existent classes as well. The English department...Not so much.
