I know, I was just stating the obvious other person that had even a decent record against Saban. I can't think of anyone else out there with a better one. Maybe Hugh Freeze. Not even counting Wittingham with his one victory in one game.

I understand that, but sometimes it's not about the statistics, it's about the accomplishment in itself. They had no reason beating us those two times and they found a way. That buys you time to get that extra class or two in there and trying to lure the recruits. Also, it's about getting that booster money too. I don't know Auburn's fundraising, but it wouldn't shock me if that was a part of the reason he's still there as well. Who else is 3-4 against us? Dabo is what, 2-2?

1. The contract extension he signed makes it too expensive to get rid of him and pay a new coach
2. Going 3-4 isn't a good record, but the timing of the wins, and who was ranked where, gives them some recruiting status.
3. Auburn has learned that they can't hire an "up and coming" coach to compete with Saban, Coach O, Jimbo, Mullen and even Kirby. Proven coaches cost $$$$$ and Auburn doesn't have enough of it.

His record from above is less than stellar against the big boys in the SEC and bowl games. What year is he in with that big $49 million, 7 year deal. Is it 2 or 3? Big buyout if the powers that be decide to look elsewhere. When he first came into college coaching at Arkansas and Tulsa, he offense was new and it took teams awhile to adjust. Now, teams know what to expect. To be able to run his offense effectively, you need to have a mobile QB and right now Auburn has a drop back passer IMO.

My entire point was #2 there. #1 is a byproduct of #2 earlier in his time at Auburn.

I get 3-4 is not good, BUT, as I stated, who else has a better record outside of Dabo?

Most SEC schools do the uniforms right, IMO. As much as I despise LSU, auburn, and Tennessee, their basic uniforms are great (though LSU plays with theirs a bit too much).

Very odd I have never seen those programs and great used in the same sentence. Simply unnatural....

I don't believe Pittman is a long term answer and will fare any better than Bielema, but he does have them playing hard (for now). It will be interesting if auburn struggles against them.

Arkansas has lots to do before competing in SECw. #1....Its called recruiting and prospects of getting back to an old time Arkansas quality with both MsU n ole ms hires isn't looking good. But somebody's got to be last!!!!!!
