šŸˆ Athlon Sports lists top 10 SEC defensive linemen of the BCS era, but who is missing? (gallery)

yeah, but I remember him playing more as a LB than anything, he was always dropping back in pass coverage and off of the line more than I remember him being on the line

One of the most played highlights of his career was an interception: but it was in the endzone against UofSC. If he had more than five INT's in his career at UGA I'll be shocked! I'd bet it's two or three.

When he was drafted, Cincy (?) picked him up as a linebacker.

In college, he won the Bednarick award given to the best defensive lineman.

Clowney was VERY good, but his reputation and lore was created coming out of high school and seemingly one hit sent him to godly status. In my eyes his reputation was a lot like Joe Mauer's, just a can't miss prospect. He is a once in a lifetime prospect with his speed, strength, and size, but the best in the BCS era, doubt it. They said that about Nkemdechie (once in a generation player, bla bla bla), but I feel as if Clowney would destroy him if compared or placed into competition.
