He hasn't been running the athletic department. He hasn't been responsible for the marketing, P&L, sponsorship, fund raising, ticket sales or facilities of any sport. He would need to do that for ALL sports. CNS has many talents, but you don't put the full operation of a major college athletic program into the hands of a first timer. In my opinion, I don't think he wants that job. It's not where his talent and experience is and I believe when he's done, he's done. Even if he moves to the broadcast booth (I believe he'd be comfortable in the in-studio role but not color commentary), it's not a year round job. I'm a Nick fan as football coach, but not an AD.
