🏈 As a Christian

To steal from Brit Hume...

TCU considered Buddism...but, there was no forgiveness for the omelet they laid last night. Christianity is there only recourse.

Nope. I just can't really seem to get excited about either one of these teams. Maybe I am just an SEC snob or maybe they are just boring. I am leaning towards the latter.

You're an SEC snob and bored with a 17-10 game? That's like an AC/DC fan feeling lukewarm about "You Shook Me All Night Long".

You said it! That was a pretty good ball game. Shoot, I'm squeezing every last drop of juice out of every game that is left. There is the Orange Bowl game tonight, then the GMAC Bowl Wedenesday, then, the grand finale title game Thursday. After that, well, it's nine months to kick off. So, the way I see it, enjoy these next few nights, because the off season is just about here.

I was amazed at the reactions of the fans of both teams. They were locked in a tight game, close til the end. Equal to a weekly SEC battle.

But their fans are too use to blowing everyone out. When they face an opponent of equal or better caliber they get out of the game too quickly. TCU scores a TD and it is 10-7, so the BS fans looked like someone just shot their dog.

With the score tied at 10 both schools moved back and forth. The BS crowd seemed to get it a little more by making noise. TCU -I never really heard any noise, but I saw alot of dissapointment in a tight game. That place should have been loud (in a dome). I didnt get the deflation of the fans in the middle of a tied game.

Another thing, what the heck is up with all these dang hand signals these schools do? I dont know what that thing was TCU did on 3rd downs, but it didnt work. I wish fans would spend more time clapping and screaming rather than chomping, choping, doing the U or the O, or whatever the heck that thing was TCU did.

East TN has some nice mountains. My house sits atop one, however they don't compare to the Colorado mountains. But when I head down to school in Tuscaloosa, it's weird being in such flat lands when Im used to Chattanooga that is pretty mountainous.

The damn heat and humidity does start to work on you some, come late July early August. But after a few 15 degree mornings lately, it's hard to recall those dog days.

For me, a lover of sun and outdoors, Birmingham has been a tough sell this year. Started raining about early September and hasn't let up much until about 2 weeks ago, when it got butt cold. Plus, the humidity in the summer means you have to compromise some of your outdoor time.

Somewhere out west with heat and sun, but not humidity, would be right down my ally. Alas, isn't the grass always greener somewhere besides where you are right now?
