The damn heat and humidity does start to work on you some, come late July early August. But after a few 15 degree mornings lately, it's hard to recall those dog days.
For me, a lover of sun and outdoors, Birmingham has been a tough sell this year. Started raining about early September and hasn't let up much until about 2 weeks ago, when it got butt cold. Plus, the humidity in the summer means you have to compromise some of your outdoor time.
Somewhere out west with heat and sun, but not humidity, would be right down my ally. Alas, isn't the grass always greener somewhere besides where you are right now?
