🏈 Arkansas is advertising for recruits on billboards...in Arizona?

You guys remember the conversations we had a few years ago about Auburn putting billboards up in Mobile? If you don't, it was right after our signing class that included Julio and the other guys from that area. Lance Thompson's class...if that makes it easier since he was the one pointed to so often after that NSD.

Now, I did find that amusing...this I just find intriguing.

Petrino, Staff will land recruits.

Interstate 8 stretches nearly 350 miles between San Diego and Casa Grande, Ariz. Motorists can peer over the United States border into Mexico in some spots along the desert- and mountain-lined highway.
Yuma, Ariz., home of Arizona Western College, is essentially the midway point of Interstate 8. And it’s there you’ll find a billboard — 10-feet, 6-inches tall and 36-feet long — that reads:
“ARKANSAS FOOTBALL. VISIT THISISARKANSASFOOTBALL.COM.”
If this strikes you as an unusual spot for Arkansas to advertise its football program, then you haven’t been paying attention. This is Arkansas football under Coach Bobby Petrino.

The one I would pass on 85 has been gone for some time. I assumed all of the AU ones were. Hate to hear they're not. Alabama at one time had one on 85 near Jimmy Carter as well. It's gone too.

Just another team TRYING (and poorly) to be Alabama.
Never gonna happen. He's hoping that what the barn was trying to do
with that same stuff will help him out more since he's on the "Fringes"
of the SEC west territory and can recruit farther away out there....possibly
tapping into the texas schools recruiting pool. Not sure how well that's going to work out.
But they are trying to follow us in the way they promote thier "Tradition" baaa nice shot hogs.
Try a little harder ON the field next time condidering we've smacked you around for what 4 years now?
