Here in Dallas, it's been snowing all day, temps have been around 32/33 all day. DFW has registered 8" of snow today, pretty crazy.

We're supposed to get between 2 - 3 inches here in Birmingham.

Nothing so far in the greater Birmingham area, but they keep saying it is on the way.

Another busted forecast for Alabama. It's just impossible to accurately predict amounts, and almost impossible to predict the event at all. I give it to the meteorologists: most of them tried to downplay this, but the NWS was playing it up big time. NWS does this with Severe weather events too. Weather and it's effects can certainly be devastating, but this needless pursuit of telling the future is wasteful use of resources.

If the sky falls, it'll be too late to do anything about it anyway.
